This project will cooperates with the United Daily News Group, using its treasured records of 「Special Issues on Taiwan Baseball」, which includes newspaper-clipping, texts, illustration, pictures, photos and lots of unpublished added-value materials. There are 20000 pieces of news above and 800 photos .We will digitize these materials, use appropriate approaches to classify and group them, such that them may become more useful historical data. Furthermore, we will develop a convenient information retrieval system with friendly user-interface for easily access, which will open free to the whole society .The final goal of the research is to setup a digital archives of Taiwan baseball and help everyone can discover the relationship between the baseball and society transition in Taiwan more effectively.
